Commander Alan Poindexter will lead the STS-131 mission to deliver a multi-purpose logistics module to the International Space Station.

Commanded by Jeffrey Williams, Expedition 22 also consists of cosmonauts Maxim Suraev and Oleg Kotov, as well as astronauts Soichi Noguchi of the Japanese Exploration Agency and T.J. Creamer of NASA.
